Totally sucks. Mon Williams was the primary reason why the EIU game could have been interesting from a football stand-point.

Now the EIU game will be all about tracking how the young Hawks play. Oh well ....

No. A blowout would be nice for once. I get the whole thing about it not preparing us for the next week but I don't think it makes that much difference. Get the first team a good 2 or 3 quarters of work and let the back ups go for the 4th.
And maybe I can avoid a near coronary like it seemed every freaking week last year....

I'd like to see the Hawks put on a clinic offensively. We know the defense will swallow anything that moves in front of them. So therefor, hope we hang 40 on them!

Saw a piece this morning where Granny was talking about Parseghian (?) not losing his first game each year, because he made sure his players were fresh and not worn out from pre-season practice.

Made me wonder if Iowa's slow seasonal development might be due to players burning out during pre-season practice, while fighting for their positions. Who knows?

However, it would be something that could easily be overcome with a nice first game blowout.
