Who has the best chance to see the field as a true freshman for Iowa this season? We take a look at the possibilities:

The New Jersey wide receiver ran the 110 meter high hurdles in 13.97. That is fast!!

There's alot of fast in that group. This recruiting class kind of gives you the impression that everyone has a huge upside. Wirfs moves really really well at that size I will tell you that. His clips show he plays through the whistle has quick feet...he's no lumbering giant at 315. Wait till Doyle gets ahold of him. AJ, and a group of really athletic guys at WR, RB, and DB have a shot to make an impact. I think this class goes down as underrated at the time of signing. We will see, but there is some serious speed in the group.

I believe the WR's will look good more based on the new playbook and people who are coaching them. The new system will really help the passing game once fully implemented and the players adapt to it.

In a couple years we will be stacked on both lines.
This is what gives me optimism for the next few years. Iowa's best teams are built up front, and if you can dominate the LOS in football, you can cover up weaknesses in other areas. For all his faults, Kirk and his staff have an extremely impressive track record when it comes to line play.

With the lack of depth at DT, I'd put Daviyon Nixon a lot higher than 16th. That is if he qualifies...

This list should be renamed to "Which Freshmen have the Greatest Impact this Year" and I believe it will be Smith or Cooper, with Marchese and Smith-Marsette as second options. AJ will play, but I don't think he will be significantly better than the Nelsons.
