Early pick Hawkeyes vs Mildcats

Iowa is asserting itself in this series again winning 3 of the last 4 including a 48-7 beat down last year. That big win was no fluke either. Here are some highlights of that gsme:

https://youtu.be/GBzucsOGIrU

This year I expect that Iowa will pick up right where they left off.

When Iowa has the ball; Iowa is significantly stronger upfront than the mildcats. This will provide ample running lanes for the Iowa backs including Wadley who ran for over 100 yards vs them last year. This will force them to pack the box, and if they do CJB will pick them apart. Iowa will have little trouble moving the ball either way.

When the mildcats have the ball; Once again Iowa is stronger upfront so they will find little room to run on the inside. If they try to go outside Iowa's now experienced linebackers, and hard hitting safeties will be on them delivering hard hits. If the mildcats try to pass into Iowa's outstanding secondary they will find that difficult too as King and company will have them covered like a blanket. Iowa pass rush will play a major role too in not giving them time to pass.

Conclusion: Iowa continues the dominance and stomps the mildcats 45-14.

Good thing Iowa doesn't play Ohio State this year. I would hate to read why you think Iowa would win by 4 TD's....You probably think the hawks would light up the 85 Bears.

1 game at a time, I will make my Big 10 championship game prediction later if the osu cheaters make it to that game.

Lol, nothing like being excited for the season. Post this again in about six weeks. Myself, not so much excited as curious about how well sunshine does at quarterback. I of course hope for the best for the team but the CUBS syndrome is rubbing off onto my enthusiasm for hawkeye football. Bad luck I guess this year for the Cubs as the Cards are havin a very good season. With the record the Cubs have right now they would be in divisional title race in either of the other two divisions.

I hope CJ tears it up at Qb and that KF and gang can have a really great year. I would really love to see that happen. It's sad when you have to fight for third place in a division that is half of a conference. Come on KF and company surprise all of us this upcoming season and regain that level of excitement we had during those three years when we finished ranked in the top ten. PLEEEEEEEase!!!

I would pick the hawks over the 85 Bears too. They are really old now and some of their key players are dead.

Apparently it's ok to have an unrelenting, uber positive outlook on EVERYTHING Iowa and be so glass is overflowing enthusiastic and kool-aid impaired as to border on the ridiculous but if you have a pessimistic, glass half empty look on Iowa Football ( if even well warranted ) HawkeyeWalker and the rest of his zeroes come to the rescue to shut you down.

I see posts all the time ripping on Nick. The difference is how the 2 of you handle it.

Need a kleenex? It appears you're upset.

Hawknick is fun, maybe a little crazy, but fun. You're a crybaby poopy pants. Deal with it.

Post a couple non negative, attacking posts occaisionally, maybe we wouldn't "shut you down", whatever thehell that means. Doesn't mean you have to be thrilled with the substandard product we've all had to endure recently, but try to find a little enjoyment in small successes.

Take a peek at your last 20+ posts...yeah...case closed.

That game was awesome. Some drunk Northwestern fans gave three of us their tickets outside of Kinnick for $10. They were stumbling to the Ped Mall, which can be fun if you arent too vested in the game. It turns out that the tickets they gave us were on the 40yd line about half way up on the West side. It was a pleasant surprise as I usually can only get tickets in the endzone. One of the funnest games to watch because of the sheer domination by iowa. Definitely the bright spot of the season last year.

The ONLY people I attack are the zeroes - like you - that attack first. The dichotomy you live under to justify your rantings is off the charts.

BTW - "small successes?" How about some examples? Should be good for a laugh.

Lol, By the look of your post history, a lot of people must attack you. Sorry about that, that must suck

Small successes, you know, the games we do win, the good plays, the individual successes and achievements of players...whatever. yeah, I can understand you not getting it.

Again, for you, I'll explain. Things haven't been great, not even good. Losing to bad teams, pisssing away leads, getting blown out...it all sucks, and if continues, we get a new coach(s).

And that's Mr. ZERO to you.

It's the hazard of these boards. "Fans", most of whom couldn't find their way to Kinnick if the inventor of Google Maps led the way like to earn their cred here by silencing those who can call a spade....a spade.

The games we do win (haven't beat a ranked team since 2011) the "good plays?" Yeah, if that's all you got from a coach who makes 4 mil and a University that charges one of the highest ticket prices in the country for a brand of football that is unbearable to watch. I don't get it and never want to. I'll let you bask in the glow of all that yummy goodness.

The NW game was a good one to watch. It was nice to be on the giving end of beat down for once.

There should be a lot of available tickets to this game too. For those that want to watch Iowa smash them again.

I apologize everyone, back to actual topic. NW will be a little improved this year but I still believe we will have a significant advantage on both lines, and I just can't see their offense being too great. A number of unknowns going into this year but this game should be a W. Maybe not quite to the level of last year, but comfortable win.

Shockingly, I've heard the natives are starting to get a touch restless with Fitz, which is crazy imo.

Been to a number of B1G venues, but never to Evanston. I've heard the area is cool though.

Go Hawks.

My parents and one of my sisters went to NW (in fact, sis was a pom-pom girl at one point!). I grew up a NW fan, believe it or not. Tailgating was ok, but the stadium is truly old-world. And it can get cold in that place when the wind gets going, similar to Camp Randal.

Evanston used to be a "dry" town. Being on the north border of Chicago, there is a ton of stuff to do. While it has somewhat of a "North Shore" feel, it also has its less-desirable aspects like any other Chicago suburb.

Still, a great place to visit for a football weekend.

There is no way you can take his posts seriously....There is no way he can really believe half of the babble he posts. All of his games are blow outs no matter who the opponent. Kirk ball keeps the games relatively close whether they lose or win. Blow outs either way are uncommon in the big ten under Kirk's tenure.
