I was young when DD was in his prime I only remember the back end of his career. Moses Malone and DD were the first two that went directly from high school into pro ball(not positive on that). I always thought that DD played like he never went to college and MM spoke like he never went to college. As I have gotten older I have realized how that judgment on both guys is/was really unfair.
Today's athlete is either super polished and they never really give you anything. Or they are complete knuckleheads, buffoons that simply don't get it. It makes you miss "characters" like DD. RIP my man.
