I've seen several articles saying BM and staff are working on former Grand Canyon big Duke Brennan. I know a bit about him, enough to say that he'd be a good fit for the Hawks.
He's 6'10", 250 lbs and would nicely fill that need for a banger that can bang with the bigs in the B1G. He grew up in Oregon until high school when the family moved to Arizona and he attended Hillcrest Prep, the same school Deandre Ayton of the Portland TrailBlazers did. Both his father and grandfather played college football. He played his freshman year under Bobby Hurley at Arizona St then transferred to GCU where he started the last two years and help them to two straight NCAA appearances.
He wouldn't come in and set the world on fire, but he would hold his own inside.
I see Oho St and Wisconsin also being interested so it won't be a slam dunk. Maybe new Coach Barnwell can seal the deal.
