FYI, DeSanto is listed as the probable at 133 in the Michigan State notes that were released this morning, FWIW.
 




It’s good to see that the injury is not more serious. With him in the lineup Iowa is at least 10 points better than anyone other team.
 


DeSanto not at NCAAs at full strength might be 20 points lost. Murin might be 13 lost. The math suggests Iowa should win by 30ish over PSU.
 




DeSanto's pretty even with RBY, so that's not a given. I think he would win 7/10 matches but anything can happen at the B1G or NCAA.

I'm still not completely sold on Murin as a top three guy. He looked like a new wrestler early in the season, but fell into some bad habits later. That said, he's light years ahead of Happel. It's hard to believe Happel is a four-time state champ. He moves his feet like a '97 pounder. Max needs to find that early season form for this team to pull it out.
