Dream Team

Anybody else watch this?

I know a lot of people remember things fondly from their childhood and maybe pump it up a little too much, but when people say the NBA wasn't what it was, in this case it is 100% true. That era when the torch was being passed from Magic/Bird to Michael was just unreal.

Some idiot ESPN NBA writer, Chris Palmer, just tweeted that today's team would beat the Dream Team, how some people can be so clueless yet work for that company is beyond me.

Hopefully he meant if they played today.

I read that very argument on the Rivals message board last night. IIRC, the OP of that thread was some 22 yr old who thinks Rose is a better PG than Magic.

The Dream Team would smoke any team the NBA could put together. They also played in an area that was much more physical..the Bad Boys/Chuck Daly transition from the Show Time era. It was just brutally physical and the Knicks under Pat Riley carried that torch. The league is getting away from that, which is a good thing IMO.
