Dre Brown - 2015 Illinois RB

I heard from a friend of mine that 2015 Illinois Running Back Dre Brown committed last night after JB. But I have been looking all over to find an article on it. Has anyone else heard this rumour? I saw that the Iowa coaches met with him yesterday but didn't see anything more than that.

I don't believe Iowa has offered him a scholarship yet. That may be what they were doing on the visit? Dre was surprised by JB's commitment last night. Said, "I did not see that coming."

Yep he just re-read it and said that he misinterpreted the tweet. Thanks for helping clear that up.

Why would anyone want to go to Illinois? One way trip to losses and empty stadiums.

That would be an interesting get for the Hawks. Dre is currently at the high school where L Daniels started, DeKalb. With the commitment of B Niemann of Sycamore, that would give the Sycamore/DeKalb metroplex 3 Hawkeyes. When healthy Dre is as good as they get. Would love to see him in Black and Gold, any year.
