Down goes Michigan

MI didn't look great today. IU showed up to man up stauskis and he did nothing.
Hawks: might want to take notes.

Stauskas was HORRIBLE today. Just stood around; no energy. Maybe the key is just to guard him tough man-to-man and not leave him.

Was he ill?

Most understood that Michigan and Stauskas were hot for 10 games and it wouldn't last all season. Someone just had to break through and bring them back to earth. They can take this loss out on Nebraska Wednesday night and then travel to Iowa City with 1 day less of prep time and lose to the Hawks.

Way less energy. Yogi used his quickness to bother him and deny him. Smaller but quicker may be the way to go against him. Marble can't stay in front of him. I say mikey g and sappy tag team him. Kind of fun seeing him just float around the perimeter. Looked like his boyfriend just broke up with him last night.

The way things are going in the B1G I would not be surprised to see Nebby play them tough even though it's in Ann Arbor. Nebby will be well rested since they did not play this weekend and they are coming off wins against Minnesota and IU plus they beat OSU the week before … so playing with some confidence.

Nebby usually makes a team work...which is all we need.

Exactly. An upset would be great which may create some doubt when they come to Iowa City. But a tough, physical game would be good; just no blowout...please.

I'd like to see Illinois upset Wisky, too. Maybe Badger would play with their hair on fire at home against MSU next Sunday. They probably will anyway so a loss to ILL would be nice.

Yep, you take Staussyfiss out of the offense with intense pressure and faceguarding...make him work to just touch the ball. I don't think Michigan has enough firepower to overcome it if he doesn't score his 20. I think that's the key...you run 3 guys at him continuously and not let him touch the ball. Michigan has no one down low that can dominate...and Robinson and Levert and the others are streaky...they start missing...and can't get transition buckets...down go the Wolverines.

Iowa wins the next two at home...both huge games...we are back in this race. I'm thinking it sets up this way as that would be the typically heart ripping Hawkeye experience when we then lose at Penn State the following game.

That would be funny if it weren't so Iowaesque. I mean, it is funny. But it would be really funny if it weren't so true.

Yeah, total denial where whoever was guarding him did not help out much if at all with other players.

That's the same thing Duke did back in December against Stauskas. Must be the magic formula. I think Duke held him to 4 points. Both Marble and Clemmons play pretty good deny defense and if they can tag team him I like our chances.
