Don't you just love the cocky smiles on MSU players

Like they wanted to bust out laughing. They must love playing Iowa knowing it will be all good in the end.

So would I.

Its sick. I mean what can you say. The only thing I give them (besides owning us) is I was really surprised they did not slam it home at the end (dribbled it out). We really have to learn how to consistenly win on the big stage.....especially at freaking home.

If Iowa was shooting lights out and dominating the 2nd half i would want our players to smile and have fun as well.

Someone ought to clubber them in the mouth. Time for Zach McCabe!

Wrong. Iowa needs more players like MSU. The Hawks need some inner city kids on this roster that know what it takes to be tough. This roster is full of soft suburban kids.

We need more Jacob Jaacks patrolling the middle dishing out their own form of sidewalk justice.

Absolutely Playmaker. Iowa has to many nice players. At least Jacob Jaacks had some game......McCabe was a Wartburg player playing D1. MSU beat us down like Big brother does to little brother.

Yep, don't you wish you had one guy on Iowa BB and FB team that had swager. Thats the problem my friend.

Oh don't get me wrong....that is what we want....but it sickens me to see MSU knowing they own us and they can all but pencil us in as a win. They could be horrible and still beat us by double digits. We crap our pants when we see MSU on the jersey. This was a must win for next level area and again we failed to get there....and on our own home court.

Like Ric Flair says "To be the man, you got to beat the man." Iowa just sucks at this and it getting very old.

Trice and Valentine were mouthy punks last year as well and they openly mocked Iowa on their home court tonight. Sad when you let Iowa State and Michigan State clown you at home and really do nothing to respond. I'm not talking about physically hurting anyone, I'm talking about someone getting ticking off and having a fire lit under them.

Everyone (much like the Iowa State game), just hung their heads and looked depressed all while the lead by the oppenent swelled.

Carver got loud several times in the 2nd half but Iowa never fed off it.

If I shot nearly 90% from 3pt land after "only" going 50% from deep I'd be opening mocking the defense as well as it comes down to simple math when our only offense is 2pts inside. Throw in another dismal display by the Iowa backcourt shooting a "blistering" 16.7% and even the hard-core fans could see the avalanche coming.

Instead of wanting someone to clobber the MSU players in the mouth, the Hawks just need some players to be tougher on the floor.

This. Gesell's bucket near the end was a great example of the sort of play they needed to make about a dozen other times during that second half. Those plays can be run-stoppers, and we just don't make them. Especially against Sparty.

Hey, Quad, that's the life of an Iowa Hawkeye BB player.....The guys that are recruited to play for Izzo, Ryan, Painter, and the list goes on and on are way better than what Fran has on the court.....Do you mean to tell me that IA, who is up by 11 at half, cannot put these guys away? It's a travesty to say the least....Iowa is on a very slippery slope right now, and the team just started to look over the icy edge, starting tonight.....There is no reason why we have collapses like this, none.....I look at this team and I'm thinkin, good quality kids, glad they're Hawkeye's, but some have no idea how to finish, and most do not have any idea on how to cut the head off the snake......mind boggling....what worked great in the 1st half doesn't work so well in the 2nd? What is the problem?
