Dont run a lot of plays for one player, let motion offense do it.

At the start of the second half was the first time this year I thought the offense was really forcing things. They were setting things up for uhtoff and he was taking a lot of shots , some were forced, It was Almost a repeat of the last 10 minutes in Ames getting him the ball and they double teamed him.

I hope the hawks just say 'let's run our motion offense, our passing game and work for really good shots". the players know what their good shots are, JU has the 3 ball, the step back jumper, and he can drive, Jok has his jumper from anywhere, Gesell and Sapp can both drive it and if Gesell takes the extra stride and gets high to the rim he finishes but when he settles for launching a layup from 3 feet under the basket he gets swatted, Sapp can take it to the hoop. Gesell is better with the jumper from the elbow coming off a screen than he is usually from 3 pt range and Sapp has a good jumper. woody has a very good short jumper (I would like to see Woody try a three ball at some time ala Lohaus) and decent moves around the hoop. Uhl can be very good from long range and still drive it well.

So just run the offense and get and take your good shots.

Oh, and again again again just run the offense at the last possession of each half.

That seemed one of the problems the other night- trying to force things with Uthoff and then after the turnover in the second half he went to the bench after making a couple nice plays earlier. We saw with Marble the lack of productivity with running iso and basically putting the ball in the hands of one player at the end of halves but especially at the end of tight games which more times than not we don't handle well and not all due to the fault of the players on the court. Very much agree that you won't see a team in college basketball move the ball any better than we do until we get away from that and start forcing the action which I agree we did too much off which played a large role in losing at Maryland.
