I agree most fans realize we won't be making a splash hire but for God's sakes Barta, don't bring in a coach who has been sub par in a smaller conference. At least Barbee's teams have shown progress. He is definitely an up and comer. None of the three former MSU assistants get me excited about Iowa basketball. Barbee would get me excited about Iowa basketball. Not only has he shown he can lead a program and build it back up, he has shown he can recruit and he has recruiting ties all across the country! Firing Lickliter to bring in a coach from Utah who just went 14-17 does little to boost my confidence the ship can be righted.
 
Jesus man...couldn't one thread where you summarized these thoughts in 3 separate posts been sufficient? You've got 3 threads saying the same thing on page 1!
 
What is this, your 3rd new Barbee thread today? I think we are starting to get a little better idea of who you would like to be the next head coach.

That it's insanely idiotic to create new threads with the same topic. It's like the guy at the back of the crowd that keeps saying, "hey guys, hey guys." We get it, you want Barbee. Try condensing your thoughts into one coherent stream.
 
Barf...I'm not sure I want another Indiana native. Give me the guy from Tulsa...Wojick, or the Dayton coach Brian Gregory.
