Jake Kelly was a pretty good player. Matt Gatens is a pretty good player. Some others are pretty good. But those who watched the Olson, Raveling, Davis and even Alford teams saw collections of very good players on a regular basis.
Its just the reality and its not going to change when they sign the next 6'2 shooting guard from Sioux City or a suburb of Chicago.
I drink the Hawks cool aid as much as anybody and I think Likliter is a class act and I don't have a problem with him keeping his job as the UI coach. But what can fans expect from the guys that play for Iowa basketball?
