Does anyone even care what bowl we end up in now?

I know this is mostly post-game depression, but I could care less what bowl we end up in. What's it matter?

nah...I pretty much stopped caring where we played our postseason after the NW game. I expected us to lose today so I really didn't have high hopes to begin with. Oh well, there is always next season.

I have to think after 4 losses that there will not be much passion by this team to play in a lesser bowl.

I'm expecting the same 4th quarter result in whichever bowl game the Hawks are invited.

So who will jump an 8-4 Iowa team for the Outback:

Wisc: Rose
OSU: Sugar
MSU: Cap One
Iowa/PSU: Outback/Gator
Michigan: Inisight

Either way Iowa is playing on Jan 1st, not that it means much anymore.

I'm not a fan of bowls in general so unless they're the big money variety such as the BCS bowls, I really don't care.

I'm not even sure the athletic department banks money going to the Cap 1 Bowl, let alone the bowls with smaller payouts.

No. Having the extra practices is important for the future but where they end up playing is insignificant at this point.

I think the team will play hard no matter the bowl game.

I will say not really right now. By Wednesday I may change my mind. I knew NC this year was just short of dreaming, but I really thought Rose Bowl was a legit shot.

The reality is this. Depsite the top ten finishes, the Jan bowl games and the overall winning % the hawkeyes would not have been to a Jan bowl game (ie Rose Bowl) in 20 years now under pre BCS rules. 20 years! Hayden went to 3 in 11 years and we have been in a dry spell ever since. Two Big Ten championships with KF but not out right and screwed by tie breakers. This is really very similar to Tom Davis Basketball. If you take the overall winning percentage, NCAA appearances the program ranked fairly high, but could not get over the hump. Football the same way. Would we lose more games if KF was not conservative, but steal one from time to time, maybe. I know this anyone asking for KF to go be careful what you wish for.
