Or does he have to sit out another year? Anyone know? I would be suprised if he would go and sit out another year at a D1, and just hit a D2 school... SD or SDS....

Just a guess, but he is just now being released from scholarship at Iowa, so that would mean a 1 year sit to transfer. Not sure why it would be any different.

yeah this is a good question, I think he still has to sit, but I'm not sure. If he would of transferred at the beginning of the season when this all happened he'd been elgible, but since he waited till now I think he has to sit. Not 100 percent though.

SDSU is D1, and so is USD, but FCS of course, which I believe relieves him of sitting out

if he really wants to be close to home, USD is the choice

If he has to sit a year he will only have two more years to play. It will be interesting to see how this plays out. I wish him the best.

Since he was collecting scholarship $ then this year will still count as a year. The rule will always be 5 years to play 4. Best bet to see him play next year is an FCS school. The players with 3 years of eligibility left that are transfering should go to villanova because they are the closest to jumping divisions and joining the Big East. That way when they are a senior they still will play for a bowl and great competition.

Doesn't matter if he was on scholarship, if you are enrolled in school full time (even a walk-on) the clock keeps ticking for the "5 to play 4" rule.
