Kirk Ferentz deserves a crapload of credit for finding a way to keep him under wraps for 4 seasons. I swear he has to be ADHD or something.
That said, he tends to crack me up with some of the stuff he says...if I can figure out his abbreviations and expressions.

lol that is kind of the approach I took....but some of the stuff he says makes it seem like DJK is resentful of the staff....but DJK now that you're free you're showing me exactly why Kirk kept you away from any mic, camera, reporter etc...lol. I criticized Kirk because I thought no way could you be that bad....you are lol.

My interpretation isn't that he is resentful, but that he is remorseful for what he did, and upset that he was banished from the program he loves.
No denying through his tweets that he loves the Hawks and Iowa City. I think he wishes he could have had a better relationship with KF during his time there and that he could have any relationship at all with him now.
DJK is definitely a personality and a talent. Ochocinco, TO, you name it. DJK's got the same vibe about him.

Much more the Ochocinco-type than T.O. DJK never called out his teammates, and never seemed to want to, either.
Ocho is sometimes a distraction, but he hasn't made a rep out of calling out his QB. Bit more of the fun-loving distraction than a cancer.
why do people always whine about DJK?
if you have a problem with him, you're likely 30 or older.
if you understand him or find him entertaining youre likely under 30.
if youre bothered by him its likely because you dont understand what he's saying, a lot of what he's saying is in a joking manner. does he say some questionable things? sure. but its not like he's being a complete idiot. he's a young man trying to grow up and figure things out.
i've said this before and i'll repeat it again
Twitter is for being you, use it as if youre talking to one of your friends. give people you.
Dont use it as if you have to watch every word or say things to make people happy or play it safe.
DJK uses twitter as if he's talking to his friends, he's being who he is. if you dont like who he is, get over it and quit reading.
People hate Howard Stern because of how he is, but those same people complaining about him are STILL listening and keeping his ratings up just to hear what he has next so they have something to complain about.
this DJK situation is the same type of thing.

I love me some DJK. He effed up. Welcome to the club. Yeah, he messed up more so than some others...but you know what? He loves the U of Iowa. And I will stand by a guy who does that no matter what. He will right his ship. I hope to hell he does. And I hope he becomes a great role model to his brothers on how to act (and how not to act) as a professional, as a person, and as a University of Iowa football player (and a great one at that).

Any NFL team considering drafting him will have to weigh the benefits of getting a talented WR against the cons of a potential head case. Although head cases can generate story lines and attention (good and bad) for your team, too.

He just has yet to learn that every thought that pops into his head doesn't need to shoot out of his mouth. Sometimes, silence can be golden. He'll get that over time.

He was diagnosed with ADD or ADHD as a child. Was in an article last summer that highlighted his "Blind Side" type of story.

I have a feeling DJK will be a lot more quiet in the NFL. When you're the 5th or 6th WR on the depth chart you aren't going to be running your mouth much. He was a big fish in a small pond at Iowa, he's going to be a very small fish in a huge pond in the NFL.
If it were just for talking to friends and being you he would just send out text messages. If saying things behind a phone / computer is being you then our society is in a lot of trouble.
Ochocinco is being himself on twitter because he says the same things to your face, DJK is trying to call attention to DJK because he wouldn't say those things to people's faces.

You don't know that though, unless you are a close friend of his. Remember, he wasn't ALLOWED to speak out when he was at Iowa.

He is playing the 'victim' card on twitter. Which is crazy considering he admitted to everything. I do find his twitter entertaining which is what he is going for. You just have to understand who you are following.

Should he put the over/under at 40 instead of 30? The people who don't have a problem with him ARE likely to be of the younger generation. And if they do have a problem, they ARE likely older. That doesn't mean everyone young likes what DJK says/does, and that everyone old doesn't.
