Disagree with Miller & Deace analysis about ND & Big 12

I think they let their disdain of ND not wanting to join the B1G affect their analysis of whether the move of ND moving non-football sports to the Big 12 and in addition playing 6 football games with Big 12 members and being included in the Big 12 bowls is good for ISU. I root for Iowa & ISU so I understand and feel the same way most B1G fans do about ND's arrogance and as a B1G conference wouldn't play them either(I would try to lock them out of the midwest recruiting grounds from playing teams here).

This is all predicated that the Big 12 gets 3 of the 6 games for their tv rights each year.

I think in the end its positive for ISU. The reality is if ND is going to join a conference its the B1G or some say the ACC(actually a lot of Domers think this). The Big 12 probably has no shot at getting them unless they pulled a few quality teams other than they currently have which doesn't seem to be happening at this time(such as FSU, Clemson, Ga. Tech from a bball heavy conference and teams already existing in the SEC footprint if they had done that and ND was forced to join a conference then with what the Big 12 had already maybe it would have been "national" enough to make a bid).

So they might as well profit what they can from ND. Adding 3 tier 1 rights with ND can only help the the conference's tv contract which ISU shares equally now. Also, adding them to the bowl lineup would help secure higher payout bowls(assuming a fair formula is figured out for payouts).

Also, I know their comments was its whatever Texas wants and its frustrating to hear, but this conference is based on the UT vs OU rivalry and if helps solidify those programs by adding a non-coference game with a lot of cache than so be it.

If you asked ISU a couple of months ago, any existence of a Big 12 was all they hoped for. And for the league to be a 10 team league with the level of competition it has added, and quality non-conference games to increase their TV contracts and share equally in them they would have been ecstatic. The only thing wrong with this league talent wise is now it may be too strong of a league for ISU but a great home for their basketball program with Hoiberg.

the clownz need a few more clown-like teams in their conference. instead of that, they are getting schools like west virginia. looking on the bright side, they have always liked the view from the bottom.

Wild Turkey do you even read the post? Or do you even know what we are talking about. If ND values its independence where else are they going for their other sports? The ACC has already said they won't take ND unless it involves football.

Who wouldn't want to sit back and ride the coat tails of good teams and get paid the same?
