Difference between Iowa and tourney teams

Turning on the tv tonight and watching highlights of NCAA tourney games from today, it is blatanly apparent - even for someone who has not followed Iowa or college basketball for awhile (me), that one huge difference between the recent Iowa teams and these tourney teams, even lower seeds, is athleticism. There is a serious deficiency in talent in Iowa City right now.

The more games I watch the happier I get that Lickliter is gone. Lickliter was going nowhere at Iowa, regardless how long he was going to be Iowa...nowhere.

It is confidence and flow. The teams I watched today had a flow to their game not seen when watching the Hawks. Iowa this year was undermanned, undersized and never looked comfortable on the floor.

Yes! We have a nice foursome of May, Gatens, Fuller, and Payne to build upon...But we need athleticism to help these guys out. We need players that can create their own shot and break down the defense. We have not had guys that can create their own shot the last few years. We honestly have looked like a very poor Missouri Valley or Horizon league team the last three years. WE NEED BIG TEN RECRUITER TO RECRUIT BIG TEN ATHLETES.
