PSU Coach Chambers takes a time out at 6 minute mark and gets right in the face of the ref. Purdue on an 8-0 run to take a 52-50 lead. Chambers keeps jawing, so Jockitch says "Cant afford to get a tech foul now only down 2, that really hurt Iowa yesterday when their coach went crazy/exploded (I think something like exploded) .

You know this is bad on two counts, first Chamber is 6 inches from the refs face a should get a Tee or Fran shouldnt get Tees.

Second count, Dakich would name about any other coach by name but he must be butthurt about Fran. Maybe Fran declined to go on Jockitch's radio show.
 
And Dakich wins again by upsetting another Iowa fan. The guys a tool, don't let him get into your head. He feeds off that stuff.
 
Or maybe we're reading too much into it, and Dakich was just stating that he thought that hurt Iowa in yesterday's game, and wasn't just trying to get a rise out of us Hawk fans. Looks like that's the effect it's having, though.

But seriously, why would Chambers NOT get T'ed up, but Fran gets an instant T yesterday? Granted, I didn't hear exactly what Fran said, so maybe he said something that Chambers did not, but I get sick of Fran getting T'ed every time he goes off, but every other coach in the league gets away with as big a tantrum as they want to throw.

And yes, I'm at work so did not see what happened with PSU/PU today.
 
Fran's reputation as a bit of a hot head likely works against him ... same as Izzo's and Bo Ryan's reputation of winning gets them the benefit of the doubt when they go bananas.

Fran did almost go a full season without a T ... some might call that progress.

Dakich didnt really upset me , I was pointing out what a tool he is and also the fact that I should have said I am tired of all the coach - ref talking crap.

You see the coaches talking constantly to the refs to the point of distracting them while time is in.

Some things can never be overstated.
 
Beilein got a quick T today and Dakich said something that sounded like he was defending Fran. He thought what Beilein did wasn't deserving of a T and said "if that's a T, McCaffrey would have been ejected". It sounded like he thinks the officials are always to hard on Fran.
 
Was Dakich the reason Iowa lost yesterday? A: No So quit looking for reasons to blame others for our own issues and shut up.

It's the officials, Delaney, the NCAA, etc. Let's face it Iowa basketball has pretty much sucked for the past thirty plus years. From the time I was fifteen until I was twenty-seven, the Hawks won three B1G championships & went to the Final Four in another year. Plus, all the stories I heard about the Fab Five. I am now eligible for Social Security.

I just go ballistic over younger people trying to defend Tom Davis. He is one of the reasons Iowa is where they are today.
 
Davis had to go....I'm just sick because it was because we were starved for the next level. Almost 20 years later we have a coach in year 5 that has Iowa playing like a Tom Davis team would during a mediocre season....yet some people love McCaffrey. That's what happens when you go generations with Iowa fans who have zero knowledge of any sustained success.

this is so true. Our guards aren't go to be confused with john johnson and downtown freddy brown anytime soon!
