Re: Did anyone pay attention to the Iowa players right after the game was over?

Stop.... Are you really wanting to make the claim that college players don't care??

Look I get it.... I'm emotional, and I'm sure you are too but to act like these kids don't care is idiotic.

And I do think they probably do care, but they didn't SHOW it. I played plenty of hoops back in the day, and when we lost, we all looked ******/angry/sad...not just blank.

If you believe they do care, then who gives a flying **** if they show it on the court? Does showing it on the court mean the care extra-hard?

As poorly as we played we lost by two points to the number six team in the country. For the second of the past three games we were not prepared to play the best two teams in the best conference in the country. Did anybody really think we were the best team in the Big Ten. The Box score is a disgusting mess, although we outshot them 70% to 55% in free throws.

We certainly pass up a lot of three point shots. We were outshot 10 out of 29 to 3 of 12. They were blocking everything inside and we passed up a ton of three pointers, make one and we win the game.....

Michigan and Michigan State took us completely out of our game. We didn't appear to know what we were doing on offense most of the time. Our D was very good a lot of the time. We will recover and improve. Two very poor games out of 20 is not that bad.....

A lot of the season remains. Remember Ohio State lost four games in a row and the Badgers have lost three in a row. We are in third place in the Big Ten behind Michigan and Michigan State and one victory ahead of the Badgers.....

We are a good team and will prove it down the line.....

Again, despite their injuries, we lost by two points to the number six team in the country.....

Looking embarrassing on offense at the same time however.....

It was a very painful game to watch and I know we are better than that. We have all seen it. Losing to last year's National Championship contender despite losing Burke and Hardaway and an injured McGary, and a chronic final four team is not the end of the World.....

The pain will remain for a few years though.....

Just as Jon flushed an ugly game thread from the board not long after the final horn sounded, we need to get this turd bowl of a game out of our collective system quickly and move forward. Still lots of basketball to be played. The sun will rise in a few hours and there are millions of people in China who don't know who won or lost. Or even care.
