Did anyone think Nate got roughed in the first half - Ref question

I know most of you saw the play I think in the first qtr when Nate threw a pass, an Illini defender hadnt contacted him yet but did start to wrap him up after one more step, then the player drove Nate with about 3 more strides and drove Nate to the turf. It definitely seemed like roughing, un-necessary roughness or something like that.

We and most of us in the crowd were really bothered by that no call. Just as a question about reffing and these types of calls what are your thoughts about this play? And later the play where the Illini Dback lifted and threw a hawk receiver to the turf which caused the hawk players head to bang off the turf.

I thought the refs were supposed to call these to maintain some safety measures.

The refs let the guys play all afternoon like I have not seen all year in any game. The hyper-sensitivity to late hits, contact etc was completely absent from yesterdays game on both sides it was weird to watch because I thought there were calls that could have gone for either team but instead there were no calls. Regardless no one was hurt and no one was kicked out for targeting which I thought for sure Stone was going to be even though I thought he was trying to avoid the contact.

I thought it was very borderline. Not upset about that no call. I was more upset with the play where our kick returner dragged a tackler out of bounds, the tackler then slammed him to the ground well out of the field of play.
But to be fair, I think they also missed the call of targeting against Stone. Ya' win some, ya lose some.
