Foot in mouth for Clemmons. He was trying to do damage control and pull those words back into his mouth and eat them. I love competition but as a player you don't want to come off to your team mates as being a me, me, me guy. Maybe Clemmons didn't mean it to sound that way but it came out that way. That's why he had to call Dickerson and explain himself. Those of us that have been married for any significant amount of time have probably learned this lesson the hard hard way. Keep your mouth shut and let your play on the court do the talking for you. Whom ever gets the starting position please reach out to your team mate and help them develop and become better players. In turn you will help yourself become a better player and a better person.
