Dick Vitale's Top 25 - Iowa #25

I predict frequent meltdowns on this board as the basketball season progresses. Iowa has an incredibly tough BT schedule and has upgraded the pre-conf. games. It would be awfully easy to lose 8 or even 9 games in the conference this year and that will bring the negatives out in force. We will be better, but expectations will be even higher on the scale. Book it.

I think a lot of people would be OK with that. I really don't see that as a problem.

GO HAWKS!!!

That like never happens around here. I don't know why you'd think that would happen...

I can definitely see this happening, but I don't think it will. I don't see them losing games to Purdue, Minnesota or Nebraska. I can see 11 wins pretty easily, and that's assuming splits with Northwestern and Illinois (both of which I think we're capable of sweeping). With all those close games last year, I think we'll get MSU and OSU at Carver, and I think we take down Michigan in Iowa City. We've had a fair amount of success against Wisconsin, and sweeping them isn't unfathomable, but I think we'll split that too.

Tough break that you guys didn't even get a mention in that article.

I'm convinced you are the biggest idiot on this site.

Anyways, I'm excited for the basketball season. I've had season tickets for 12 years now and this is the most excited I've been since Horner's senior year.

Hopefully you guys do better than you did that year! 16-14 was a big disappointment following making the second round of the tournament the previous year.

Meltdowns and contentious woman are alike. Eye of a simple man would rather quietly sit on the corner of his roof and watch the Hawks become BIG TEN CONFERENCE CHAMPS! Bodyslam yeah!
