Devan Kenedy hometown story

Interesting story on how Devan Kennedy made his way to the Hawkeyes.

His dad, Jimmy played at Penn St, played in the NFL, and won a Super Bowl. Devan wanted to be a basketball player. But as he entered his junior year, he decided football was his future.

Devan is a teammate of the Vanden Bosch brothers who also have been offered by Iowa but who Fryowa syas would take a cosmic shift to go anywhere but Nebraska.

Levar Woods, HS teammate of Kyle Vanden Bosch, recruited them at Brophy. He was also here recruiting Christian Clark, a running back that signed with Texas which is where Paul Chryst is currently an analyst.

This article really puts the Iowa program and staff in a positive light.

I saw in hawk central this morning that where Chad Leistilow stated that LeVar Woods had his first success working the Phoenix area for several years in signing Kennedy.

I remember 2-3 years ago LeVar offered Kennedy Urlacher, DB out of Chandler, AZ, who is the son of Brian Urlacher, former Chicago Bears LB. I believe LeVar was his first D1 offer. I see he signed yesterday with Notre Dame. LeVar is on with some good talent.
