Definitely a first. Seems like Kirk is planning on playing quite a few of these freshman this year and wants them playing in front of people with music playing to get them acclimated to large crowds and distractions. Greg Garmon and Barkley Hill specifically, since they weren't able to go on Kids Day. I even remember last year at kids day Kirk talking about how the freshman are always awed by the crowd and atmosphere. Hopefully both Garmon and Hill are still healthy by Saturday.

Q: You have been practicing for nine straight days and two a days recently, so today was not meant to be a showcase for the fans.

Ferentz: No. It’s a chance to practice..If we had enough time I would do another fan day next Saturday. Especially for our younger guys, it’s important to have fans here. It’s a big deal for them to have the music playing, that stuff that distracts them. We will have to create some of that because we are a young team.
