Came across this article that Dell Mims has been hired as the head girls bb coach at Notre Dame Prep in Scottsdale, AZ. Notre DAme Prep is better known as a football school. The article state he is a native of Cedar Rapids, went to Thomas Jefferson HS there then beat around paylijng some bb and coaching at several different levels in AZ.

I have no idea who he is but did wonder if he might be related to Fred Mims?

Fred Simms was a graduate of Galesburg High School and played with Dale Kelley when the Silver Streaks placed second in the original March Madness Illinois one class basketball tourney. Fred went to Iowa and Dale starred at Northwestern. They were quite the guard court in high school.
