Once the "courtship" begins, do you think there is any benefit to those schools leaking the info in an attempt to gain leverage against a school's current conference? like Nebraska? or is it in their best interest to keep it all behind closed doors.

I'm not Jon, but I'd say that it probably depends on what the school's goals are. If the school wants to stay in its current conference but get a better deal from its current conference, a leak may prove to be useful. If the school actually wants to join the BigTen, a leak may do a lot of harm.

I'm sure any school they talk to is required to sign a nondisclosure agreement. Not saying that is a water-tight method to prevent leaks, but if the school is seriously considering it they aren't going to want to **** off the B10 with leak

Delany was on Big Ten tonight this evening by phone and said the 12-18 month timeframe that was first spoke of in Dec. 2009 when the expansion study began hasn't been altered. Take it for what it's worth.
