Not only does our defense and Special teams "keep" us in games they actually win games! fortunately Wisconsin mirrors Iowa futility on the offensive side but credit a great defensive effort and special teams to take advantage
On the flip side our offense can only be described as "painful" Traditionally our offensive line is good and improves. This has to be the worst I have seen at Iowa in a long time. Much of the pain has to be attributed to the Scheme and Brian Ferentz
Bottom line is that IMHO no other power 5 program would be bringing back either of these coaches next year
My fear is that Kirk (if we win 7 or 8 games) will just say we are winning and we will see at least his kid on the sideline next year
