Decision to go to OT?

I don't agree with Coach's decision to go to OT. Seems like they had 1:17 left and the ball with a time out. Wouldn't it have been better to use the timeout and try to get down the 35 or so to kick a fg? I seem to recall this same decision came back to bite us a couple times last year also. I say go for the victory with the time left on the clock.

Not sure what you are talking about. He did try to go for it. Coker busts off an Insight bowl type run its ball game baby!

I see you only have two posts, so let me just say that you're a little late to the party on this question.

Herman's false start killed them. It made it 2nd & 13 & pretty much made Kirk's decision a no-brainer. You don't get the first down & you punt, Iowa State could have easily kicked a game winning field goal. I really don't have a problem with the decision.
