Dear Huskers - you guys are awesome

To see Nebraska lost TWO games in completely heartbreaking fashion just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Oh wait, that's the IPA. Carry on.

They went out and played a nice OT...didn't see rest of game, but guessing they played well enough to come back and create the OT after being down pretty good, but choke they did once there.

I'm not a Fusker fan in the least, but with the way they fought back in that game and how Tommy Armstrong played in the fourth quarter, they have earned my respect. That was one hell of a comeback to force OT.

I know there is a lot conference loyalty, but I can not root for Nebraska, Minnesota, Wisconsin, northwestern, Ohio state, Michigan, Michigan state, or penn state under any circumstances no matter who they are playing. I'll take any SEC or big 12 team beating any of those teams.

I live in Omaha for work but am from Iowa and went to Iowa for undergrad so college football season is rough around here for me.

last night at a wedding and right before the toasts the DJ announces little red tied it up. Whipped out the phone and watched with glee the second the wedding party sunk in their chairs when Miami won.

Lately, I've been more accepting of the Cornholer fans. They're new BigTen status has them humbled, somewhat. What really nauseates me is the sychophant media hyping their mediocre football program.BTN network analysts, Griffith and Dinardo both picked cornholers to win West division. That's a JOKE and proves how clueless many in media roles are, today

You forgot Purdue. We're still supposed to hate them, right?

I agree. I was pulling for them to win in OT. Felt a bit conflicted, but as a football fan I love to see that kind of effort rewarded. Even if it's Nebraska.

Please explain, anybody, were the huskers not classy in defeat?

I didn't watch the game just pulled numbers from the scoreboard. Good for them if Riley taught them some class. But don't forget, that school and their fans WANTED Bo Pelini as the face of their program. Maybe a double dose of Callahan/Pelini caused that program to rethink some things.

I am curious how Husker nation is feeling about their new coach and letting Pelini go? Any regrets? Yeah I know it's early still..

It was amazing how they convinced themselves it was a good hire. It seemed like most hated it but a month later it turned into Oregon State is such a tough job that winning 8 games is basically like winning a NC anywhere else.
