there was a post from the Rivals board some of their fans feel it will be a easy win as he feel Iowa plays no defense, he also pointed out Iowa was 3-7 on the road, he must not realize the game will be a home game for Iowa

Any post season is better than none. The team gets to continue to play and practice. This is what happens when a fan base becomes entitled. When we ran Tom Davis off(I was one of those fans) And the way we are treating KF. I am excited to see Gatens get post season play. He has been a terrific ambassador for Iowa BB.

In between the lines of your joke is the truth that we've been wildly inconsistent. Iowa hasn't won 3 games in a row since the first 3 of the season. It would be a huge step forward for this team to do that now- for the '11-'12 team and the '12-'13 one. First of all, of course, we've got to beat Dayton.

Obviously it is all about fan expectations.
At Dayton,they had hopes of making the tourny coming into this year,had a solid season,and just came up a bit short. This is at least the 3rd straight NIT for them? Fans - Unhappy.

At Iowa, in the preseason,we hoped for a .500 season,then after losing to Campbell,we hoped not to get shut out in the Big Ten season...so actually making the NIT and getting a home game? Fans- Very happy.

Next year, Iowa fans will hope for NCAA,and expect an NIT bid...if we fall short of NIT..fans will be unhappy...just the way it works.
