Dark Days

Are these officially the dark times for men's sports at the University? With this season wrapping up in dumpster fire fashion, and next year's football season to be equally as bad. Then we lose White in basketball with nothing really coming in. Someone point out a bright spot for the basketball and football at Iowa?

An end of the season presser with Fran and Barta outta cure that feeling for ya ;)

Sally Mason doesn't care about men's sports. At all. When you get this, you begin to understand Iowa sports.

Yes, we lose White. He still doesn't have a low post game. His points are mainly cherry picking and free throws which is very hit or miss.

Andrew Fleming is going to be really good.

Bingo. And just think what two years from now will be when only Jok returns with Uhl. Other than a play in game, you could see 10 years of no NCAA. And then there is football. Is this the 70's again?

I am optimistic that Uhl will be a very good player who can hit from the wing and I have already seen him drive the ball from the perimeter for layups. Add him to Uthoff and Jok and we have some scorers. Woody will take up space and rebound, that is about it.

We have avg big 10 guards for next year but maybe Trey will be improved, I hope trey gets some limited time now. Uhtoff is playing very good, Jok I hope will be very good next year, and if Uhl and a couple other incoming guys make strides we can be good.

If these are your dark times, I'm jealous. Bowl games in football and bubble team in basketball?!? Damn.

I've always kind of been in this camp. Things aren't great and I'll admit I'm pretty frustrated. That said, message board posters tend to be a little extreme with reaction and expectations. A lot of folks truly think they could coach better, recruit better, handle the media better, etc....all from their couch.

I expect a minimum of mid tier bowl games and currently I expect to make the NCAA tourney, although a 9-10 seed. Lose against Rutgers, that dream ends.

I'm still very much a Fran fan, I'm a little less a KF believer these days.
