Dantonio Talks Iowa Football





see, this is the first time ever that i've seen dantonio praise iowa. weird. maybe he's trying to get on kirks good side so we don't destroy them again.
 






just coach-speak, you never know what some of these bumble heads are going to say...im beginning to think it doesn't really matter what they say

I'm sure this has been posted before, but I think one of the sneaky-tough things about winning consistenly at Iowa this: Iowa is that team/program that's good enough for teams to get "up" for (because beating the Hawks is always a solid win)...but the Hawks are not so elite that teams simply oll over once they get down up 14-3 like you'd see with the old Ohio State.

Am I just seeing things through black-and-gold colored glasses, or have you guys thought this before? I mean...Michigan State isn't the only team that's patterned their program after Iowa (SEE: Barry Alvarez in Wisconsin)

This reminds me of when the Northwestern player came out last year admitting how Fitz hates Iowa and then Fitz tried to provide damage control by talking about how much admiration he has for the Iowa program.

I don't buy any of it, but I'll give them effort points.
 


Head coach Mark Dantonio said Coker is an impressive, physical runner, and when he was watching him play, he said Coker reminds him of former NFL running back Jerome Bettis.

“He’s got two hands on the ball, he’s got his uniform on and he’s a downhill runner,â€Â￾ Dantonio said. “You better buckle up because if he gets through the line and he’s not touched he’s not trying to go around you. He’s trying to go through you.â€Â￾
