Per Michigan State email, Max Bullough has been suspended for the remainder of the season for a violation of team rules

The only shock is it took this long for msu to have an issue/ meltdown. Usually it starts at the beginning of big 10 season.

Bullough is projected to be a 5th round pick. It will be interesting to see if Dantonio goes all Ferentz and black balls him, and makes sure he never plays a day in the NFL.

What the hell do you have to do at MSU to get suspended for a bowl game? They literally play people after their jail sentences are up.

The single most important player on their team. Way to go Spartans. I hate Michigan State, but they are in the B10's biggest Bowl Game. Now they are going into it without their defensive General. Way to represent. Probably going to be yet another B10 loss in a high profile bowl game.

I heard he made the dean's list and won a citizenship award. One of them would have gotten him extra sprints, but both of them send the wrong message about what kind of behavior is desired at MSU. He gone.

I wonder is this came from above Dantonio's level...

You have to wonder. Unless he was caught on tape drop-kicking puppies into heavy traffic, I can't imagine what he could have done to make him miss game time (in Dantonio's eyes).

Judging from the "Dean of Discipline's" past actions I'd say that it definately came from above his head and likely involved a student conduct violation that has automatic penalties. Given the timing AHawk1 is probably right that it did involve a failed drug test or academics.

Absolutely love this.

But it's so not fair to conduct drug tests this late into the season (Sarcasm) and if it was a drug test why didn't Bullough get the memo. When using someone elses **** how many times do you have to tell them that they have to find someone that is clean or its pointless.

My guess is both he and coach thought it would be best for his career after football to stay back on campus and start mentally preparing himself for the next semester. I'm sure he's nose deep in text books as we speak.

I'm just glad we have escaped these problems for once. Nebraska has 4 players not making their bowl game.
Better them than us.
