Dantonio cuts off players from media

Has the media been clubbing his players with tire irons or something?

Or maybe he wants them to be focused, yes....that must be it. I know for a fact college football players spend all week staring at pictures of that week's opposing coach and having Bobby Boucher hallucinations of being mocked. The only thing that breaks this week of intense focus is talking to the media, great move by MSU.

I predict no less than 3 hawkeyes will actually be ripped in half this week.

Don't think that KF won't remind the team about how Dantonio was telling everyone the entire Hawkeye coaching staff would be fired...

There is some bad blood here.

I tend to agree with this. They are supposed to focus every week right. Doing this is just putting things into their heads.
 
It's like the pink locker room, for most people it will not effect them. However, for those that it does, and they whisper / put newspaper up, as Hayden would say "we have them right where we want them!"

Meaning, the fact that they have to put effort into ignoring the pink locker room, does the same damage as doing nothing!

Media / no Media- Iowa is already mind-f*cking them!

Iowa goes undefeated at hone this year! Book it!

Is this the same Dantonio that let CL Rucker decide if he would start against Iowa last year after getting out of prison just one week earlier. I remember that story from last years game. Seems like a shaky move by a coach not to stand up and say, "no you've been in trouble, you need to sit out until at least the second quarter". In the end it didn't matter much on Iowa's end as the Hawks put it to em'.
Is that the Dantonio we're talking about?
 
This will have no effect on the football game at all.

Plus they fear Iowa (as does everyone else) I don't blame them for not wanting to show it in the media.
 
there obviously is some bad blood here. There were a lot of uncharacteristic coaching moves in the 2nd half last season. We effectively lost Robinson trying to run up the score in this game last season. Usually we go to great pains to not humiliate an opponent. I was much more confident we could beat Michigan State than Michigan and actually feel very good about this game after last week.
 
It was very weird how the game was called last year. I remember thinking to myself, "what team and coaching staff is this, and where in the hell did they come from!?"

I think, or pretty much know, that Kirk is a very prideful person and I think he took some of the nasty **** that the MSU coaching staff was talking about him and his staff, very personally last year.
 
Dantonio is an uptight SOB,and this kind of move will leave him with a team that is tighter than a wedding nite fit on Saturday. Look for bad execution on Saturday by Sparty...Go Hawks!
 
I despise MSU just as much as I do ISU and Nebraska. I hope we come out and destroy them just like last year and leave no doubt in the game.
 
You better believe that if KF and Co. has the chance they will try to humiliate MSU even more than last year after what Douchtonio and crew were spewing garbage after the rhabdo incident. I hope it comes true and Iowa handles these guys, builds the confidence for this team before two tough roadies to end the year!
