They absolutely wasted a year of eligibility. The staff was going to red-shirt him in August but decided not to.

This I about the equivelant to the bball fans that want to give Gabe the start over Woody.
Just like out center play in basketball isn't the issue, the RB wasn't the problem today.
Canzeri was great today.

Canzeri played well. Weisman was put in impossible situations. Leshun Daniels shoulda seen the field more than he did.
And Woody can start all he wants, Gabe should get more minutes than him though.

Who said anything about wanting Daniels to start, or blaming the RB's for the loss?

Daniels got hurt at the beginning of the year, that messed his season.

I will give credit to Kirk that he tried to get Wadley involved but he apparantly was a chewing bubble gym and can't do 2 things at once.

That is not totally correct. He was injured I believe during one of our 2 bye weeks. He carried 13 times in the opener. Then his carries and PT went down afterwards almost to nothing. He played a little too far into the season (Purdue) to redshirt then. After UNI if you were not going to play him much he should have been redshirted! Especially with multiple backs who were eligible and able to play instead. What a waste!
We wasted a year on Tavon Smith and Drew Ott midway through 2012 in a season going no where!
