I like the idea of simplifying things for an offense. IMHO At the college level if you are talented you do not need to be running NFL type schemes to beat most of your opponents. Go be a 6'7" TE take on a 5'11" LB or S and see who wins.

It's been simplified for the tight ends. The wideouts now shoulder the burden of more option routes. Option routes are still part of the offense, it's just a different position group that has to worry about them.
