"Should be an interesting game today with Cully being out today. Cartwright gets the start at point."

I'm guessing Payne is still injured. Payne's taken a lot of heat on this board but I think it's been largely overlooked that he's playing injured. After the ULM game McCaffery mentioned how he didn't play Payne most of 2nd half because of a nagging injury

I've noticed Cully being attended to on a couple of occasions to start the season so I had a feeling there might be some injury issues that would help explain his slow start this year. Now for the million dollar question...does Cartwright go 40min or do we see the walk-on PG (Stubbs) spell him or will they try moving someone else over to fill the spot.

I personally am curious to see what the following lineup would do with starters shown first followed by possible substitutions.

Cartwright/Marble
May/Stoermer
Gatens/McCabe
McCabe/Basabe
Cole/Archie

I missed the game tonight, unfortunately, but Marble played some point in high school. Not sure if that can carry over to the next level, but the height advantage of Marble playing point would be interesting nonetheless...

How long is Cully out???

I think they said he'd be out 6-8 weeks.

From what ive seen Marble doesnt have the ball handling skills to play point at this level

Agree, under pressure Marble would be a challenge. Not quick enough and confident enough with the ball. You have to drive the ball up court and look for options, not walk it up. Stoermer / Stubbs looked better.
