Cubs sweep Cards

Don't know if many of you check Fark.com but this was their headline for Cubs/Cards:

For the first time in 27 years, the Chicago Cubs sweep the St. Louis Cardinals in St. Louis. Even though the Cubs won't make the playoffs, this indignity will give their fans something to gloat over until their next shiatty season

As neither a Cubs or Cardinals fan it made me laugh, just thought I'd share.

Well, I was in St. Louis in 1988 when the Cubs swept the Cards from June 10 through June 12. So, the 27 years in not quite accurate. It's fun when the Cubs play the Cards well, but I don't think this is something too many fans will hang their hat on for the Cubs. Still ...
