I agree, they want to make money, but unlike some other owners, they want to win just as badly.

Renovations to Wrigley are long overdue. Believe it or not, nicer facilities for the players could actually help on-field performance.

Ricketts is just trying to bring the Cubs into the 21st century. And like he stated during his speech, they're trying to run a baseball stadium, not a museum. Of course they're trying to make money, but like another poster already pointed out, they really want to win too, unlike say the owners of the Royals, who only care about making profit.
