Crowd Friday?

What do you guys expect for a crowd this friday? Im not sure what to expect from the non-students, but I do know that it is dead weak and with finals coming up it could hurt the students a little.

Prediction: 14,000, a lot like dayton crowd

There will be a decent amount of clowns. They had a thread on CyFan coordinating their efforts when tickets went on sale to the public.

It's a friday night. Students should have no excuse for not attending. Dead Week doesn't continue into Friday night, and even if it did, the students need to sack-up and get to the game!

I definitely don't see finals making a big dent in student attendance. This is the first big game of the year at Carver, and it's against a rival.

Honestly, I'll be mildly shocked if there are less than 14k in the building.

I don't think a lot of the posters on CyFan are allowed to leave their homes after dark.

And I would hope that the crowd would be like the Dayton game, but unfortunately the same people that attended that game won't be getting the same seating for this one. So we'll have the usual "sit back and entertain me" crowd in most of the good seats.

Wasn't last the Iowa vs Iowa State at Carver a sellout or at least close to it? If the team from two years ago had a great crowd, I'm pretty sure this one, that had a tiny bit of hype, will be really close to it if not sold out.

This is our rival and it's the only decent team we play at home in the non-conference. There is no reason for it not to be.

Sadly I agree. The seats I had for that game were the best seats i have ever had in Carver. And probably will never get that good of seats again.

I like Iowa hoops more than Iowa football (always have) and I don't work Friday so I'm strongly considering drinking like it's a football day. Of course, that would mean that I don't actually see the game...

You might see it but you just won't remember it.

I've heard from some fans that have tickets that their seats are at the very top, very last row. So that's a good sign.
