Couple questions on the presser

What was up with the first question of the presser about losing a battle with an agent for Sash? Anybody know more details on that?

And in Jon's live chat he hinted that our meetings with MSU could start becoming a bit more hostile because of the negative recruiting they pulled with Cooper? I must have missed what happened there. Help please.

1. I think he mentioned something about recruiting and how it has changed. He brought up the fact that you are no longer recruiting kids out of high school but now you have to recruit your juniors against the agents that come in trying to sell them fame and fortune. He said something to the fact that scholarship checks don't compare to NFL checks.

2. After the rhabdo incident I guess MSU really pulled out all the guns against Iowa trying to tell Cooper that Kirk didn't care about the well being of his players and all that good stuff. I don't see what the big deal is because to be honest, expect more of that from a lot of our competition for recruits this year.

i also heard that MSU pulled some type of negative stuff with Cooper. never heard any specifics though.

edit: norwalk, thanks for the insight, i figured it probably had to do with the rhabdo stuff.

You don't imagine Kirk will use that as some sort of motivation getting ready for the MSU game?

No, I don't think so, either. ;)

An additional question.
Did Kirk address transfers? Did he mention Ferguson leaving the team? What is Donovan Johnson's status?

I absolutely think he will use it as motivation/bulletin board material. I just did not know the details as to what happened with their recruitment of Cooper.

That presser was a huge waste of time. The Rhabdo incident has been beaten to death and 3/4 of the presser was wasted on that subject.
I need to start attending some of these pressers. Make a list of people to junk-punch for wasting our time and then hit them as they come out of the room.

Or, since you would be at the press conference, you could just save the violence and simply ask KF the "tough, hard hitting" questions you would have liked.

MSU will become an even bigger rival within the Legends division, and Dantonio is a low down scum sucking dog. He aint happy losing to Iowa the last couple of years, and will negative recruit all day long against Iowa. The sheer embarrassment of last years shellacking(30-0 at half) as a #5 ranked team coming into Kinnick will fuel his negativity even more,as we see in the recruiting of Cooper. Probably tried to badmouth Iowa to one time MSU rb recruit from Dolton,Ill that we picked up this year also. Screw Dantonio.

Anyone else wonder what these guys (and I'm referring to any coach of a big-time program, college or pro) say to each other when they meet at mid-field at the end of the game? (And maybe what they'd really like to say?)

I do wonder whether some of these guys stay in touch with each other throughout the year. My guess is they do.

Dantonio cares about his players so much that you can wear a jumpsuit and a jersey on the same day.

I dont want hard hitting questions. I want to focus on spring football. The Rhabdo thing is tired.
I would love to get into the presser and ask questions but I'm pretty sure you need press ID.
I would like to get away from violence but what do you expect, when you live in this country? Every time I turn on the TV, its there. We have troops in Iraq.
We have troops in Afghanistan. We are attacking Lybian air defenses.
Consider yourselves lucky I cant get my hands on an M-16.
