Congrats to Coach McCaffery!

Today, Iowa accomplished something that Iowa hasn't done since Alford was the coach.

Believe it or not, Iowa won back-to-back Big Ten games for the first time since Alford was the coach. Lickliter did not win back-to-back Big Ten games in 54 games. Coach McCaffery did it in only eleven games.

It is still a "long road to hoe."

Great win today. So much more enjoyable to watch. The Hawks could've folded the tent down 10 on the road at a tough place to play but they battled back and won it. I love it!

Wow. That puts it in perspective how bad the Lick era was, and you can feel the life starting to creep back into the program. Very impressed with what Fran is accomplishing with this team so far in just over half a season. As stated, a lot of work to be done yet, but I like what the progress I'm seeing with this team under new leadership. Oh yeah, the two Fran recruits we have (Basabe & Cartwright) have a little bit of game. Bodes well for future recruiting I think.

I prefer Fran's style of play SOOOO much more than Lickball. Fast breaks, trying to get the ball inside, etc. are so much better to watch, the team plays with alot of heart and never quits fighting back. I love it.

Any win on the road in the B10 is a big win! Congrats to Coach Fran, staff, and most importantly, the players!

Those two dunks by May were something that wasn't seen during our LICKSICKSYSTEM days. Also... when Sheehy (sp?) went off on that dunk and was doing his own "OHHHHH" and the crowd was going nuts... they thought it was over! It would have been under Lickliter. A team coached by Lick down by 10 is a loss PERIOD. Iowa won today by making only 2 3 pt shots. Points in the paint today were ridiculous! Basabe's confidence is rising quickly. If we could just recruit one ANGRY BIG MAN to replace the gap created by losing COLE next year... this team would be MAD again and the fans would be crazy about it. $ell outs and recruits will come and we will have warmer, shorter winters in Iowa again!

May's dunks were impressive, but even more impressive were the passes from Cartwright. There are about half-a-dozen players on the team that could have made the play.

The passes were even more impressive than the dunks.
