It was amazing that Iowa didn't attempt One field goal until the 4th game of the season. Every time we kick, whether it be a PAT or a FG I hold my breath. I don't feel comfortable taking FG's past 35 yds and I don't believe we have a consistent kicker that can make those time in and time out. I actually don't have a problem with going for it on 4th down when past our opponents 40 but in tight crucial games those 3 points will really matter. We have 2 kickers on scholarship and this last week against Ball St. neither of them kicked a FG or a PAT it was freshman Mike Myers. We need to get this kicking game taken care of fast with Big Ten schedule coming this next week against Penn St. and Im pretty sure we'll need to attempt a FG or two. As of right now I'd go with Myers kicking the PAT's and have Mossbrucker kick the longer FG's past 25 yds. And Daniel Murray will need to prove himself as our main kicker in practice after he rests up his injury. GO HAWKS! AND HAVE A GREAT WEEK OF PRACTICE
