Combinations

After watching the first two exhibition games there's a couple combinations that look really good out on the court. I really like the Cook/Garza combo and Nunge/Pemsel/Kriener. Their skill sets seem to complement each other very well. Also they seem to have good chemistry together. Cook and Garza look very comfortable playing with each other. Nunge and Pemsel have a really good flow with each other. Kriener also seems to have a cerebral feel for Nunge and Pemsel and puts himself in some good spots for some open shots.

Just a couple of good combinations after watching the first two games

Agreed. The 2nd unit looked sketchy at first but they came around eventually

Having a healthy moss in there with bohannon, cook and Garza is gonna be lethal...

The inside/outside game with Cook and Garza is going to be a monster this year. Especially if Cook can get his outside shot going. If that happens, I think its going to be near impossible for teams to stop.

Nunge and Pemsel, in the first two games, they seem to find each very well. Pemsel is looking nimble and crafty. The way he can contort his body and make a shot is pretty impressive. I think Nunge and Pemsel are going give each a lot of assist throughout the season.

yea the second unit in the first half gave up a lot of points and i would say the only thing that didnt make it into a disaster was Baer's two 3 points at the end of the half

Pemsl look great last night. I really liked how our bigs passed the ball around under the hoop.
That certainly didn't go unnoticed by me either. I thought Cook forced things a couple of times he maybe shouldn't have on the block but overall they all play really unselfishly.
I know it was garbage time late in the game when I noticed this but I couldn't help but notice the difference between Uhl and Nunge. Uhl was really unaggressive out there if not down right passive. Nunge was looking to attack every time he had the ball. To me once he gets the feel for the game out there at this level he'll be a stud too.

IMO, I like that COOK is as aggressive as he is... but he decides he's going to shoot the ball or make a move WAY to early sometimes and he DOES force it rather then give it up. I think that he hopefully will get better with that when he starts playing guys that can guard him better and he realizes his best option is dump it off. God he's looking good though.

Cook just wants to dunk the ball. Its hilarious.

You could tell Fran placed a huge priority on getting the ball into the bigs last night. At least with the 1st unit. if they keep that up, the kickouts should be wide open.

You kind of have to be careful with your word choices...this reads like a gay orgy. Not that there is anything wrong with that.
