College Gameday...I'm going to hell...

Did anybody see the pick 'ems on college gameday? They had that young blind boy from USC doing the quest picks. Now, let me be the first to say his story is very sad, but I think Gameday made quite a few gaffes that I couldn't believe they would do. First, every time Chris asked the boy for his picks he would say "how do you see this game?" Not really the best choice of words their Fowler. Then later when Corso put on the duck head he reached over and offered his hand to the boy to shake his hand, must not of realized that it's kind of hard for the kid to do so when he can't see you holding your hand out...

I saw that too, but what can you do? It was an honest 'error' if you will by Corso, an incredibly caring man.

I mentioned that to my wife when I saw Corso extend his hand to Jake. If I ever win a lottery, I will give something to Jake. I did like gameday having Jake on.

Statelinehawk, let me be the first...

...to congratulate you on your giving heart.

If you ever win the lottery you will give something to the kid? I am not really trying to dog you here, but it just sounded kind of insincere when I saw it, though I can tell you really didn't mean it that way.

I know what you meant, but I couldn't resist a little dig:)

And Corso picked the Hawkeyes, as well as Herbstreit, who sounded really reluctant to pick Iowa, but begrudging did so.

Corso reaching over to shake his hand was an honest mistake, in my opinion. It would have been better had he said something like "I would like to shake your hand, put er there" or something to that effect to get his attention.

Herbstreit knows football. If he's picking Iowa, that's good enough for me. It tells me Iowa has a decent chance to win the game.

Don't worry, StatelineHawk.

I could tell you were sincere. But I also couldn't resist my little jab:) I was laughing pretty hard when I came up with it.

That kid is smart. Seriously smart and very articulate for what...12 or 13. Hell for a 26 yr old. I can imagine him being a broadcaster some day honestly. I cringed every.single.time he said 'how do you see it?' Eek.
