This goes back to what everyone says in the beginning. He'll get his shot at RB and if he decides to switch then he can, but he won't be forced. AKA Derby to LEO. I've also heard Coe could make a good DE

Recruit the best athlete you can find, and plug them in where they can make the biggest impact. Lot of time to pass before they have to figure that all out. He may be too tall for back and would be a strong candidate for DE/LB

I think its even more detailed than that. They give them the chance to play where they want and evaluate their strengths and weaknesses and try to advise them from there. These coaches have seen hundreds players over the years and most of the time can tell by how a kid moves and uses his body where they can best succeed.

I dont think its a need to keep him at RB, but I like the big body guys in the backfield.

As much as I would like to see him as a big powerback, I will predict he ends up at DE.

I thought DE a while ago as well but with his ability in the air i think he's better suited to play LB

Coe will play at the position where he ends up EARNING playing time. However, that said ... he will initially practice at RB. If he works hard and has a good attitude ... then he has a chance to see some early playing time.
