Great post CRHawk!! Love the guy's passion and optimism! He says it like it is - he knows what needs to be done. Just didn't feel this from Lick.

Great, great interview. I was very impressed. He seems very well-spoken and engaging. Said all the things I was looking for. Guy can definitely talk the talk, hopefully he can follow through on that and walk the walk.

+1. I also definitely like his approach to coaching, and how the players aren't going to have to worry they will get yanked if they take a bad shot or make a mistake.

changing defenses, making in-game adjustments, adjusting your style of play to suit your players' strenghts rather than using an arbitrary system...that's just crazy enough to work.

More I hear from this guy, the more I like. I'm really excited that he is going to run the ball up and down the court. I was watching some old Siena clips on youtube and boy do they run it up the court quick. I like it a lot!

He seems like a great hire to me, especially with his history of turning around down programs. Just curious what the negative side of this is, because I don't see it.
Gimme some of that kool-aid.
I think Fran has been reading the boards, because what he said in that interview seems to be everything that we have been looking for. Up-tempo style, switching up the defense, somebody who is familiar with the history of Hawkeye basketball, etc.
Can't wait for the presser.
