Coach Keno

I have had the following discussion with friends many a time: assuming that the position is open in the near future, do you really think Keno would come coach at Iowa?

The argument I hear from friends who say "No" is how the good Dr. was treated by the Bowlsby administration. I, on the other hand, point to the fact that the Barta regime is different and that Iowa fans would welcome Keno with open arms.

I think Keno Davis is a name that someone pulled out of mid-air, who has not been discussed before today, and will likely not be disucssed tomorrow. It is just some fed up fan throwing a name against the wall which can be discussed for a few hours until we all get tired of it and move on to the next guy who won't be coaching here.

Our leader Jon Miller brought it up - he might be fed up but if he brings it up it carries more weight than if your average rube like me brought it up

Who cares if Miller wrote it? He is just another fed up fan who wants a new coach, and he is just throwing out the name he wants. Then we will discuss it for a few days, and go on to the next coach we covet.

Yeah, you're probably right but what else are we going to talk about. Its depressing to be an Iowa basketball fan right now. Need to have some topics to pass the time

Why would we want Iowa to hire Keno? Bruce Pearl is a more likely hire. Pearl is a better recruiter and could most likely get some very athletic players to come to Iowa.

Of course Pearl would be a better hire, but there is no way in hell he leaves his current gig for Iowa. Zero chance

Iowa fans need to temper their expectations for who the next coach could/would be

Maybe Coach K would be interested in leaving Duke to rebuild the Iowa program...

Please inform me why Bruce Pearl would want to leave Tenn to come to Iowa. I'm not even sure Keno would want to leave Providence to come to Iowa.

Hopefully Keno does not leave Providence for a bigger school first. I still want Lick to work out instead of having to do a complete system reset again. Hopefully he can turn it around next year. Alot of hope is needed for now.
