Clowney to South Carolina SIAP

Nice. The SEC has teams with 26, 27, 27, 30 & 32 recruits signed. What a joke the NCAA is becoming...has become.

I would say that the NCAA should drop the hammer on over signing, but they should probably stop them from Paying the recruits & their families first...

It has been amazing how much talk there has been about this kid today, on twitter and across the sports venues...

Main reason: its the only college football topic right now :)

If his grades are as bad as it seems how do they get him into any D1 school? And skip the $$$ answer.

Loose academic standards for athletes. He's probably planning to take remedial courses for 2.5 years and go pro. 12 hours per semester puts him at about 15 classes he will have to take, so it isn't like he is going to be held back too terribly much. Also, his final fall semester, he won't exactly have to pass his classes. This all assumes he is the Julius Peppers clone some have made him out to be, but regardless of that, he will not fit the traditional description of a student-athlete.

Yea ,this is why when kids leave early the schools should get pounded on the scholarship front. If they aren't going to be student athletes they shouldn't have a scholarship. Is anyone sure that the NCAA isn't actually the government?
